Project Outline

A group of 16- to 25-year-olds from York's Future Prospects Learning and Work Advice Centre, worked on Cradle to Grave inspired by one of York Castle Museum's major exhibitions.

Participants worked with animator Clive Tonge from Darlington, who helped to make the film come to life. Using images of artefacts from across the Museum, the film takes the viewer on a journey from life to death, through Georgian times, the Victorian era, and into the 20th century.

TThe group visited the Museum on several occasions and photographed the collections on display. These digital photographs were manipulated using the Adobe Photoshop programme and then animated in Adobe Premiere.
